Tight calves are a persistent and common problem responsible for some of the most painful conditions including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis and shin splints. Stretching the calves by changing the overall pattern of over use is the key to long term results. This PRI exercise will help you release not just your calves, but also your back and hip flexors. Importantly, it will also help you turn on your abs, quads and triceps which are crucial components in changing this pattern for real. Grab a mat and follow along as I walk you through this PRI technique.
For those that would like to take a deeper dive, try this series of exercises on all fours. Great for tight backs too!
